I have been fishing for as long as I can remember. My dad was a big time outdoors-man, fishing and hunting. I can remember fishing trips when I was little waking up in the tent to come out and see my dad's catch in the bucket. I grew up fishing, not able to learn from my dad (he passed away when I was 8 years old). My grandfather tried to teach me, but his motto was "jack of all trades, master of none" and he was pretty good at that.

I spent a lot of time on the water drowning worms and night crawlers. One time I improvised and threw a live grasshopper on my hook and immediately caught a pike! It wasn't until about 7 years ago someone from work took me out on a nearby lake and taught me how to use a senko to fish for bass. Something about running across that small lake in the rain at 52 mph then catching some bass really got my juices pumping! I was hooked!

Then next four or five years I studied magazines, books, internet articles, and attended fishing seminars, trying to learn as much as I can. I believe in constantly learning. Never stop learning is a good rule for everything in life. So I continue to pursue knowledge and information on how to get better in the bass fishing world.

I love to share knowledge and my experience on the water with anyone who is willing to listen to me. If you ask those to know me, they would probably reiterate that and also add, that even if you don't want to hear about bass fishing, just hang around Joe and he'll be talking about it.

I host a online radio show titled "Let's Get Reel" with Joe Minor. It airs once a month on, be sure to follow me on facebook or twitter to see the schedule.

I fish in a small Christian Bass Club called Bassin' Buddies, Thursday evenings Livin' The Dream club, and FLW BFL Michigan div. as a co-angler. In 2010 I fished in a charity fund-raiser and also fished in one for and with county probation kids. I'd like to do more of those types of tournaments.

My currently sponsors are: XX2i Optics Pro Staff, Zipper worm company Pro Staff; Case Plastics Pro Staff; Fish Bait Radio Pro Staff; River2sea field staff, Ardent Reels pro staff, Fish Allure, Bass Minder Pro Staff.
